By purchasing, downloading, or using macoptimize ("Software") or accessing the macoptimize.app website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
1. License Grant
Upon purchase of a macoptimize Pro license, you are granted a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and run the Software on up to two (2) Mac devices owned or controlled by you for personal or internal commercial use.
2. Permitted Use and Restrictions
You may use macoptimize to inspect, clean, and manage storage on your authorized Macs. You agree not to:
- Decompile, reverse-engineer, modify, or create derivative works of the proprietary licensing mechanisms.
- Share, distribute, resell, or publicly publish your individual license key.
- Use the Software in any manner that violates applicable laws or regulations.
3. Updates and Support
Your one-time license purchase includes standard software maintenance updates and bug fixes for the current major release, as well as email-based technical support.
4. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
macoptimize is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. macoptimize inspects and deletes files explicitly selected or approved by the user. While the software is designed with safety rules for common developer directories, you are responsible for maintaining current backups (such as Time Machine) of your data.
In no event shall macoptimize or its creators be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages arising out of the use or inability to use the Software.
5. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law.
